The riverside cabañas are an ideal choice for a genuine ‘Al Natural’ experience. Be ready to be completely submerged in nature when staying at this very eco-friendly accommodation.
In the style of traditional peasant homes, our stilted rustic cabañas are several feet off the ground. Following our philosophy and ecological practice when building and designing low impact housing structures, these cabins were built exclusively with the wood of the trees that were knocked down by strong storms in 2018 and collected from our reforestation project. They are also built on light structures, avoiding the use of large amounts of cement.
The three structures can all be rented separately. Cabin three has two private rooms separated by an internal door. Cabin 1 and 2 have one double bed and cabin 3 is ideal for a family of four, as it has a double bed and two twin beds.
The simple design of our Ecological Cabins in Playa Venao takes into account the maximum comfort of our guests, including ceiling fans, walls and windows that muffle the noise by closing the rooms completely to also prevent insects from entering and a private balcony overlooking the creek. Just a few steps past the creek, you will also find the permaculture farm. If you want to learn about permaculture and get involved, please ask about our tours and workshops at reception.
Both cabins have shared bathrooms and showers that are outside, next to both cabins.
Don’t be surprised by visiting monkeys, but please do not feed them, as we strive to respect the balance of our surrounding ecosystems.
